17 Seasonal "Pop-Up" Retail Outlot Shop
McDonald’s embraced the idea of a “pop-up – temporary” Garden Center store as an avenue to pump up spring sales and ultimately generate more profit. Opening 17 seasonal stores, McDonald was eager to create a unique experience that would separate them from the common roadside stands.
Ideation Studio introduced the use of supersized bright mural-sized fence screening to surround the remote lots. Branded graphic styles and large-scale photography became the vehicle to attract shoppers to visit these sites. Complementary department banners assisted the customers in navigating the space and easily discovering their favorite fauna. The pop-up store design became an extension of the flagship stores.
